Meridian Foods launches new peanut butter

Meridian Foods has extended its product range with its latest launch, a peanut butter with seeds.

The new peanut butter is made with 91 percent peanuts and nine percent mixed seeds including pumpkin, sunflower and black sesame seeds.

It is free from palm oil and provides a natural source of protein, energy and healthy fats, making it ideally suited to sports and fitness enthusiasts seeking a healthy source of protein and energy.

Sue McIntosh, head of marketing at Meridian Foods, said: “Nut butters are the perfect snack for pre- and post-workout as they are packed with protein, magnesium, vitamin E, fibre and other essential nutrients to help fuel exercise.”

McIntosh added: “Consumers are also seeking diversity from sports nutrition products, incorporating nut butters into all aspects of their diet including smoothies, breakfast bowls and on-the-go snacks.”

The range is available as a retail line for gyms and health clubs and features a range of nut and seed butters including crunchy hazelnut , pecan, organic pumpkin seed and organic sunflower butter.

Meridian also has a line of nut bars that features peanut, almond, cashew, peanut and cocoa and peanut and banana bars.
